I’m so psyched that my blog is still out in the Internet world even if it is dreadfully dead.
I have been up to a lot since my last post. The man and I broke up, I moved back to my own reserve, I had a fling with my exboyfriend and grew closer to one of my cousins.

So, I had a lot of good and bad happening to me. I have a job as a Drop in Center worker, but my contract ends on March 26. The only place that I get any internet access is at work, but even then i never had time to update my blogs. I am thinking of just keeping this one going, and letting the others fall to the wayside, at least until I either get a new job that allows me some personal time on the Internet or get a more reliable source of Internet.

I just turned 22 years old, and am starting to feel the pull to do things like marriage and children and what not. But I don’t have time for that because I am still working on my education!

Anyways, I will leave it at that until I have the chance to come back and say something a little more interesting. As if, I’d get any raw material in this rinkydink town. But i love it.

As of yesterday, I am once again unemployed. I didn’t quit my job because i hated it, or because i hated the people because I LOVED working there, and i loved the coworkers.

I quit because im flying home, at long last! My man got offered a job back in our hometown so we’re going back in a couple of weeks. I don’t know if we’ll ever venture out of our little town again (i mean to live somewhere else) and i secretly hope we don’t.

I love our tiny community. everyone knows each other, and while it is a isolated community (fly-in only) it isn’t so isolated because everyone knows everyone else.

It’s going to suck having to pay more for food though. Food in thunder bay is cheaper then it is back home since things back home are priced higher to help offset the freight charges.

I probably wont have or even need a job over there so I’m going to work on my websites more often. I havent been that serious about them but now I’m going to focus on making them at least a bit profitable. I’d be happy if my websites were able to at least able to pay their own hosting.

Does anyone out there have any ideas on how I can save to buy a house?

I was thinking of going with the income breakdown of “Save 10%, Use 20% for debt payments, Live on 70%” guideline that I found while purusing the Internet. (I can’t remember which site it was)

My debt is currently over $900, but has manageable payments so 20% of my monthly income would suit that fine. Does anyone have a better way to save?

I am looking to have a home by the next year or two, but I am worried that the housing prices will increase again. Currently, houses in our area start at $43000 and are pretty decent starter homes.

I wish there was some type of funding available for off-reserve first nations people to buy a house. I know there’s a down payment assistance program out there but I would hate to run up more debt.
